ABOUT
Then…. Beth’s design journey began at an early age with a cherished dollhouse that she would design and redesign many times over. Upon graduation from the University of Texas with a degree in Design and working under a prominent couture firm in California, Beth moved back to Wilmington to work side-by-side with her mother as a Realtor in their family owned real estate firm. Her father and brother are both General Contractors -- real estate and construction are in her blood!
Now….With many years in general brokerage, Beth transitioned to New Homes Sales and worked for a well known Luxury Home Builder. It was during this time that she began staging homes for several real estate investors and decided to make the leap of faith. She obtained her staging certification with Home Staging Resource and formed Porchlight Staging and Design. Beth loves scouring flea markets, garage sales and consignment shops for vintage finds, now these items are sold at her Uptown Market Boutique, added to her staging inventory or incorporated into her design projects.

Fun Fact….. Beth spent one Summer crossing the Continental United States in a pop-up camper with only her Cannon SLR camera by her side, capturing her adventures in film along the way (below are samplings of her work). “I have always been obsessed with old things and love when junk is juxtaposed in such a way that it creates the perfect composition”. This fact is well known among family and friends. After honeymooning in Italy and spending much of it behind the lens of her camera, her hubby still loves to joke that there was not a clothesline in Italy that was not “photo worthy”. Beth has won several awards for her photography and you can find much of her work (samples below), as well as her vintage wares and home decor at Uptown Market. in Porter's Neck.
